About Earl

Licensed clinical therapist, podcaster, and curator of healing—but above all, a human committed to helping others live their best lives. Owner and founder of Innate Virtue Counseling, PLLC, and the creator of 26 Affirmations for Boys of Color.

I’m a licensed clinical therapist, podcaster, and curator of healing—but above all, I’m a human committed to helping others live their best lives. As the owner and founder of Innate Virtue Counseling, PLLC, and the creator of 26 Affirmations for Boys of Color, I am dedicated to guiding individuals on their journey of self-discovery and personal growth. I believe that each person holds the innate potential to unlock their healthiest, truest self—one that already exists within them.

My passion lies in working with individuals navigating trauma, particularly those in the African American and LGBTQIA+ communities. With over seven years in the mental health and human services field, my therapeutic approach blends Experiential Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), solution-focused techniques, mindfulness, empowerment—and even a bit of comedy. Beyond trauma-focused therapy, I specialize in addressing anxiety, intimate partner violence, boundary setting, and depression, with expertise in the intersections of LGBTQIA+ identities, minority stress, and trauma.

When I’m not working with clients, you can find me traveling, exploring new restaurants, attending R&B concerts, or diving into a good book (check out my recommendations!). I also co-host The G.R.I.T.S. Co., a talk series dedicated to amplifying the diverse voices and experiences of Black Queer individuals raised in the South.
